The export promotion authority TDAP said this in a detailed statement. It said that after the meetings of Mohammad Younus Dagha, Secretary Commerce with all the textile associations, TDAP had already sold out more than 80 percent of the available space.
Leading textile brands such as Sapphire, Chen One, Siddique Sons, Rajby will be exhibiting their top quality, niche and prêt-à-porter products.
Unprecedented interest in the TEXPO 2019 can be seen from huge textile sector participation as more than 170 exhibitors representing the entire value chain has already confirmed their space at the event.
The TDAP and Pakistan Fashion Design Council have also signed a Memorandum of Cooperation for holding Fashion Show on the sidelines of the TEXPO. The TDAP has made reservations in leading hotels of Lahore for the stay of the international buyers. On the opening day, an Inauguration Ceremony is being planned inside the Lahore Fort for international buyers which will be a combination of cultural ethos and eastern values.
The Ministry of Commerce is making all out marketing efforts to attract international buying houses, chains and retail stores for this event. All trade officers have been assigned special tasks and directions for bringing best possible buyers to TEXPO. The ministry is also engaging all diplomatic missions in Islamabad for the event that itself is an unprecedented move.
The 1st edition took place in 2016 at Expo Center Karachi and saw 450 international delegates from 50 countries across the globe. It is expected that TEXPO 2019 will give boost to the textile exports of Pakistan.
