Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has deposited gifts worth millions of rupees in the Toshakhana (treasure house) which he had received from Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman. According to a document of the Foreign Office, dated January 9, 2019, the gifts were given to the foreign minister during Prime Minster Imran Khan's visit on September 19, 2018 which also included a Rolex watch worth Rs 4.850 million, a gold pen embedded with gems worth Rs 0.950 million, a pair of gold cufflinks worth Rs 135,000, a gold-chain rosary (tasbeeh) inlaid with gems and golden chain worth Rs 205,000, and a gold ring worth Rs Rs 210,000.

The documents stated that the total value of the gifts, assessed by an approved appraiser, amounts to Rs 6.35 million. "The foreign minister has desired that the Toshakhana may retain [the gifts] and the sale proceeds may be deposited in the government treasury, as per prescribed procedure," stated the document.
