Who was at the Dubai airport to receive prime minister Imran Khan on Sunday? He was Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed al Nahyan, who was accorded a highly significant protocol when he arrived in Pakistan recently. This shows, among other things, the strengthening of UAE-Pakistan bilateral relationship in a highly effective and meaningful manner. The PM was there on the invitation of Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum. In their meeting, the two leaders exchanged their perspectives on a variety of issues. It is quite likely that Pakistan will soon out of the economic woods. The PTI government is therefore required to protect and preserve the current status of its ties with both the UAE and Saudi Arabia-the two Muslim countries that have given bailouts in order to stabilize Pakistan's beleaguered and battered economy.
