The 6th Convocation of Dawood University of Engineering and Technology (DUET) saw conferral of degrees and certificates to 404 students of Batch-15 and among them were the recipients of 4 gold and 9 silver medals for their outstanding success in the exams. Muslim Ali got two gold medals while Alina Saif and Muhammad Irfan Khan received one each. Those who secured second and third positions in their respective departments received merit certificates.

The 6th Convocation ceremony was held at Dawood University's main campus on Saturday. Governor of Sindh Imran Ismail and chairman of Engro Corporation Hussain Dawood awarded gold and silver medals to meritorious students.

The Governor congratulated and advised the students who had completed their education at the Dawood University to chase their dreams as they like but those dreams should not be without Pakistan. He said the country had produced great brains and outgoing students owed a lot the country and it was the payback time. "Pakistan deserves to offer success stories to the world, which we have not been able to do over the years for one reason or another," he said, asking them hey should come forward and become inspiration for the generation to follow.

Hussain Dawood also felicitated students and elaborated the efforts of Dawood Family in the field of education. Addressing the parents, teachers, educationists and students at the graduation ceremony, the university vice chancellor Prof Dr Faizullah Abbasi lauded the efforts of the team DUET in bringing desired changes in the University. He said Dawood University has transformed with standard of education improved. He said organising the 6th Convocation in a row shows the stability of the University.
