On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,667. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 8.453 billion and the number of lots traded 11,553.

Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 PKR 3.218 billion followed by gold amounting to PKR 2.313 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 1.118 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 915.605 million, platinum PKR 239.669 million, silver PKR 173.883 million, DJ PKR 173.008 million, copper PKR 104.795 million, Palladium PKR 91.198 million, SP500 PKR 60.961 million, natural gas PKR 28.684 million and Brent crude oil PKR 16.641 million. In agriculture commodities one lot of cotton valued at PKR 0.513 million and 32,910 lots of red chilli amounting to PKR 8.655 million were traded.
