A security guard robbed a private bank of around Rs 6.5 million in Defence (DHA) area, here on Tuesday morning. Police said that Manzoor, who originally hails from Rahimyar Khan Punjab, had been serving as a night-shift security guard at that bank for last six months. Through gas cutters, he opened nearly two dozen lockers and stole Rs 6.5 million from 10 lockers.

Details of the looted valuables from some 12 lockers were yet to be confirmed. The police have registered a case against Manzoor began conducing raids to arrest him. On January 14, unknown men looted around Rs 7 million cash from a money exchange company office at Sharea Faisal area of the city.
