The cause of the incident was stated a rivalry between two brothers on their house and the killer wanted to get a major chunk of the building but the deceased plainly refused, saying that everyone should get the real share.
The two brothers started arguments during the division process which led to exchange of hot words, culminating in opening of fire on Aasd Khan by his brother, Hamza Khan.
Soon after the incident when the dead body was brought home and their mother saw it she also died on the spot. Father of both accused and deceased has registered an FIR against his own son, Hamza, demanding that he should be arrested soon.
Meanwhile a watchman in tehsil Topi main bazaar of district Swabi was tied with ropes at a pillar and brutally killed in the blanket of night by unidentified car-lifters. The incident was occurred in the jurisdiction of Topi city police station. Khan Zaman, who belonged to Khadar khankhel area of Topi city was watchman in an under construction market on Topi-Batakara road.
