Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) and Hazara University, Mansehra signed MoU to pursue a programme of scientific, technical and academic collaboration for the exchange of ideas, skills and techniques on problems of national interest.

A delegation from Hazara University, Mansehra headed by Dr Muhammad Idrees Khan, Vice Chancellor, Hazara University, Mansehra visited PARC HQs, Islamabad for the purpose, said a press statement issued here on Wednesday.

PARC and Hazara University, Mansehra agreed to pursue a programme of scientific, technical and academic collaboration for the exchange of ideas, skills and techniques on problems of national interest as agreed from time to time.

Initially both PARC and Hazara University, Mansehra will exchange and training of faculty, students supervision, technical personnel and material with mutual consent for research and academic development, joint or co-ordinated scientific research and technological development programmes in selected areas, holding of joint conferences, seminars, symposia and workshops at national and international level, mutual sharing of scientific information & research materials.

Internees of Hazara University will be facilitated at PARC, laboratories for their internship. Hazara University will also facilitate PARC scientists in research activities in Mansehra.

Dr Muhammad Idrees Khan, Vice Chancellor, Hazara University, Mansehra appreciated PARC efforts in agriculture sector and also thanked Dr Yusuf Zafar, T.I, Chairman PARC who has kindly consent to get MoU signed between Hazara University, Mansehra and Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC).
