The Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) has taken notice of the killing of three persons in district court Pakpattan on Monday and sought a detailed report.

A police spokesperson said initial investigation have suggested that deceased persons Ibraheem and Ifraheem were involved in many cases and came to district court Pakpattan for seeking extension in their interim bails. The court granted extension in their bails and next hearing was scheduled on 09 February 2019. Both the accused were present in chamber of their lawyer when 10 to 12 persons with weapons came and opened fire on them. Resultantly, both accused Ibraheem and Ifraheem besides clerk of Advocate Yusuf died on the spot.

"The accused were involved in many crimes of murder, attempted murder, theft, dacoity and illegal weapons. Nearly 35 cases were registered against Ibraheem and 30 against Ifraheem with different police stations," the spokesperson claimed.

According to the report, both the accused were murdered due to previous enmity. Police have registered the case and raids are being conducted to arrest the accused.
