SU vice chancellor Dr Burfat in his presidential remarks said that miraculous advancements in facets of science and technology were getting to be a norm in the ultra modern times one was witnessing of late, adding that electro-analytical chemistry was, for lay man, a comparatively less known and celebrated field, yet its significance in the aspects of use of sensors for various scientific operations in day-to-day life was paramount.
"I congratulate the scholarly team of Centre of Excellence in Analytical Chemistry upon having organized this highly important seminar; and I also thank Prof Dr Jiri Barek for his immeasurable passion and deep commitment to his profession that have inspired him to travel all the way to Pakistan to facilitate colleagues establish and effectively operate electro-analytical laboratory at NCEAC", Dr Burfat said.
Learned speaker Dr Barek in his enlightening presentation said that he had the pleasure and privilege of hosting a great number of Pakistani scholars at his university in Prague, Czech Republic, said, "I found each one of those scholars as highly passionate, exceptionally talented extremely committed individuals with finest character and calibre".
Interrelating electro-analytical chemistry to everyday life, Dr Barek enunciated its inevitable usefulness in the context of development and application of sensor technology for many purposes, including food preservation, environmental safeguard, health maintenance and checking of security threats.
Earlier, eminent national scientist and former director NCEAC Prof Dr Muhammad Iqbal Bhangar presented to the audience detailed profile of the guest speaker.
