On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,664. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 7.583 billion and the number of lots traded 13,341. Major business was contributed by NSDQ100amounting to PKR 1.968 billion, followed by gold PKR 1.596billion, currencies through COTS PKR 1.570billion, WTI crude oil PKR 1.434 billion, platinum PKR 269.629million, DJ PKR 227.964 million, natural gas PKR 159.558 million, silver PKR 123.225 million, copper PKR 121.153 million, SP500 PKR 57.033 million, Brent crude oil PKR 52.255 million and Japan Equity Index PKR 2.841 million. In agriculture commodities 3lots of cotton valued at PKR 1.524 million were traded.
