Prime Minister Imran Khan will undertake a two-day official visit to Qatar from January 21-22 to hold talks with Qatari leadership on issues of mutual interest and enhancing economic cooperation. Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal told his weekly media briefing that the prime minister, at the invitation of the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, is scheduled to visit Qatar on 21-22 January 2019.

During the visit, he said that the prime minister will call on the Emir of Qatar and will also hold a meeting with the Prime Minister of Qatar. "Issues of mutual interest will be discussed during the visit," he said, adding that the prime minister will discuss the import of manpower by Qatar from Pakistan.

Minister for Petroleum Ghulam Sarwar Khan on January 14 told a group of journalists that the prime minister may request Qatar government to provide credit facility for LNG supplies and revise the prices during his visit to Doha.
