The Corps Commanders Conference Tuesday discussed the internal security of the country and geo-strategic environment. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa presided over the 217th Corps Commanders Conference at the General Headquarters (GHQ).

The conference reviewed the country's internal security situation, fencing on the Pak-Afghan border and the situation at the eastern border.

Indian aggression along the Line of Control (LoC), as well as the Afghan reconciliation process also came under discussion by the military's top brass.

The forum pledged to carry forward the successes achieved by the security forces to enduring peace and stability in the country, said ISPR.

The top military brass met at a crucial time as a rise is being observed in the anti-Pakistan rhetoric from the Indian politicians and military. Pakistan Army last week shot down two quadcopters in two consecutive days that attempted to fly into Pakistan's aerial space from India.
