Opposition Leader and PTI Parliamentary Group leader in Sindh Assembly on Monday emphasised that Pakistan Peoples Party must have to face accountability for alleged wrongdoings perpetrated during its government in Sindh since 2008 to date.

This demand came at a joint press conference addressed by Leader of the Opposition in Sindh Assembly Firdous Shamim Naqvi, a leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Haleem Adil Sheikh, the PTI Sindh chapter general secretary and parliamentary group leader in the provincial assembly.

"Today is an important day. We welcome the statement of Sindh Chief Minister's Adviser Murtaza Wahab in which he has accepted the accountability process," Naqvi told the media in the premises of the Assembly.

"PPP has to answer for what it has done in last eleven years," he said, urging the bureaucracy to refrain from wasting and changing evidences. He said the Chief Justice has already given observation that the JIT's is not a baseless report.

Naqvi said water supply to the largest city of the province, Karachi, has not yet been increased. He alleged that role of Sindh Solid Waste Management Board is not seen in any locality. However, we welcome the statement of Murtaza Wahab in which he has announced that they would accept whatever verdict is given by the court, he said.

"We never said that arrests will be made today," Haleem Adil Sheikh said. He said in one case, father created problems for sons and in another case son created problems for father. He claimed that Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari had put his father Asif Ali Zardari in a fix. He said the corrupt mafia would be made answerable and no deal or compromise would be made on the issues of public interest. He said PTI would take sweets to Sindh CM's adviser Murtaza Wahab for his statement.

"Entire Sindh, including Karachi, is facing acute shortage of water," he said, asserting that Sindh government's performance remained poor and pathetic during last 11 years. He lamented that even vaccines for dog-bite victims are not available in the government hospitals. He said Sindh province lacks the facilities of healthcare, education and clean drinking water.

"The 11 years of the PPP in Sindh government will be written a dark period in the history of the province," he said.

Sheikh said that Bilawal is still a child and he only reads the speeches which are given to him by his father or aunts. On the one hand, PTI leaders hailed Murtaza Wahab for his statement and at the same time Sheikh also criticised him saying the guy had already been rejected by the voters but he retained the job as adviser on the son quota.

"PPP want police-rule in Sindh and the government wants to control police by forming a committee under Murtaza Wahab," he said.

PTI leader further said that the name of Sindh Chief Minister is still included in the JIT, though the Supreme Court has ordered to exclude it from the ECL.
