The Steering Committee meeting of Sindh Education Department here on Wednesday decided to revise the academic session schedule in the province from July to April. The meeting chaired by Minister for Education and Literacy, Syed Sardar Ali Shah for summer vacations further decided that annual examination at all primary and secondary level schools would be held from March 20 to April 30.

The two month long summer vacations would be from May 1 to June 30 while number of holidays, in general, may be curtailed so as to ensure that syllabus is duly completed and also revised accordingly during the stipulated academic session.

Schools would be required to celebrate/observe events as Pakistan Day, Kashmir Day, Eid Milad-un-Nabi and Death Anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah with active participation of students and teaching staff.

Academic activities would, however, remain suspended on the occasion, with focus to help students participate in the programmes organized to mark these days and understand relevance of the same.
