Deputy Commissioner Tharparkar said in his report that the distribution of free wheat to drought-affected families is also going on daily basis, adding that in the first phase 246,927 affected families have been distributed free wheat (50 kg per family), while in the second phase, till to date free wheat has been distributed to 248,804 families, besides that the distribution of family ration bags to pregnant and lactating women is also continue on daily basis and till date 60,650 ration bags have been distributed in Phase-II and 36,656 bags already distributed in Phase-I.
He said from July 1, to December 31, 2018, the number of total OPDs for children in all the district and taluka hospitals is 338,157 in which 67,202 for under five-year children while 270,955 are for children above five years.
Moreover, 37 children were admitted in the hospitals for better treatment while 34 children were discharged after providing better treatment facilities. Similarly, with the help of 31 Basic Health Centres and 18 Government Dispensaries, 815 children were treated under the administrative control of PPHI.
