The Taiwan Flour Millers' Association has issued an international tender to purchase 111,650 tonnes of grade 1 milling wheat to be sourced from the United States, European traders said on Monday. The tender deadline is Jan. 9. The wheat is being sought in two consignments, both of 55,825 tonnes, for shipment from the US Pacific Northwest coast.

The first consignment is sought for shipment between Feb. 23 and March 9. The second consignment is sought for shipment between March 11 and March 25, they said. The tender seeks a range of different wheat types. In its last reported tender on Dec. 6, the association purchased 110,000 tonnes of milling wheat, to be sourced from the United States.
