On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,533. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 15.156 billion and the number of lots traded 18,430. Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 amounting to PKR 10.259 billion, followed by WTI crude oil PKR 1.808 billion, gold PKR 1.196 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 807.191 million, DJ PKR 560.461 million, silver PKR 207.951 million, SP500 PKR 152.550 million, platinum PKR 82.388 million, copper PKR 58.155 million, natural gas PKR 23.114 million and Brent crude oil PKR 1.101 million. In agriculture commodities 17 lots of cotton valued PKR 8.553 million were traded.
