The Democrats Panel secured all 12 seats, trouncing Progressive Panel in the annual elections of Karachi Press Club, here Saturday. Chief Election Commissioner (KPC Election) Prof Dr Tauseef Ahmed Khan said that 1,582 members were eligible to cast vote and of them 1,210 exercised their right to vote in the Saturday's elections.

Imtiaz Khan Faran was elected president securing 671 votes, Saeed Sarbazi vice president with 894 votes and Arman Sabir highest 925 votes to become KPC secretary. Raja Kamran (876 votes), M Hanif Akbar (882 votes) were elected treasurer and joint secretary, respectively. Khursheed Abbasi (892 votes), Shazia Hassan (855), Abul Hassan (835), Ateequr Rehman (826), Abdul Waheed Rajpar (825), Ashraf Bhatti (804) and Shoaib Jatt (779 votes) were elected members of the governing body.
