On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,547. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 34.854 billion and the number of lots traded 45,032.

Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 amounting to PKR 29.741 billion, followed by gold PKR 1.629 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 1.060 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 869.270 million, DJ PKR 644.668 million, platinum PKR 337.205 million, silver PKR 236.191 million, SP500 PKR 214.450 million, natural gas PKR 71.187 million, copper PKR 35.633 million and Brent crude oil PKR 15.040 million. In agriculture commodities 54 lots of red chilli valued PKR 15.495 million and 4 lots of cotton valued PKR 2.037 million were traded.
