Former President and Co-Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari has said that his party has no truck with military establishment but it stands by Pakistan. While addressing a press conference, Zaradri said, "We stand by Pakistan but former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should tell whom he is siding with?"

About the caretaker setup, he said the PPP did not give the name of any former judge but it would accept whosoever is ultimately decided for the post of caretaker prime minister. "We empowered the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP)," he claimed He said that Nawaz Sharif allowed General Musharraf (retd) to flee the country despite his name was on the Exit Control List (ECL).

The PPP leader also raised questions about Nawaz Sharif's loyalties with the country. He said that Mian Sahib should make it clear whether or not he is with Pakistan. "He [Nawaz] played a double game in the past and he is doing the same now," the PPP co-chairman alleged.

Seeking to take the credit for the recently approved merger of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), he said the idea was a dream of the late Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and his daughter Benazir Bhutto. "We were unable to implement the idea [merger of FATA with KPK] during our time in the office because of the game Nawaz had played," Zardari alleged.

The PPP co-chairman said those who had opposed the merger are pursuing "some" agenda. They were afraid that their monopoly would end, he added. He also congratulated all the political parties which supported 'FATA Reforms Bill' and said that it is success of the democracy and the Parliament.
