ANP chief Asfandyar Wali Khan has said FATA Rewaj Act is against the human rights and not acceptable in any circumstances. He expressed these views while talking to a delegation of tribeswomen which called on him in Wali Bagh Charsadda. The founder of 'Khur Organization' Shahida Shah and president Tribal Women Network ('Qabaili Khur') led the delegation. Secretary General ANP Mian Iftikhar Hussain, Imran Afridi, Jamila Gillani and Shagufta Malik were also present on the occasion.

The delegation briefed Asfandyar Wali Khan about problems tribeswomen face and said all tribesmen including women are in favour of the merger of FATA into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Asfandyar Wali Khan said ANP is in favour of the merger of FATA into KP since beginning and have always given respect to women. He said being humans, women enjoy equal rights with men. Therefore, he said ANP has no separate women wing and has given representation to them at all level.

He said the role of women in politics is of no doubt, saying ANP believes i the equality of men and women. However, he said credit of preparing women to play practical role in politics goes to Bacha Khan, who through 'Khudai Khidmatgar Movement' created awareness amongst the women for practical role in politics.
