Three persons were killed in separate incidents of violence while Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) claimed to have arrested 12 accused in their raids conducted as part of the ongoing Karachi Operation here on Friday. According to police and rescue sources, Hussain Bux, 36, son of Ghulam Rasool was killed while Zafar,30, son of Ahmad Bux injured during a clash over family dispute in Awami Colony area of metropolis.

The body and injured were moved to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities and treatment, respectively. Muhammad Khan Jamali,53, son of Ali Muhammad Khan was shot and killed by unknown persons in Memon Goth Malir.

SHO Memon Goth said the incident occurred near Dimloti Road when Jamali was on the way to somewhere in a white colored vehicle (AQC-141 Suzuki Liana), in the meantime armed men opened firing targeting the vehicle and fled from the scene leaving him in a pool of blood. Initial police investigation suggested that the incident might be result of personal enmity.

He said 9MM pistol was recovered from the vehicle. The deceased is retired official of Navy, he added. In another incident, four brothers were stabbed when they scuffled with their neighbours in PIB Colony. Their identities were ascertained as Nawaz, Anees, Majid, and Sajid, sons of Shah Muhammad. The police said the victims were rushed to JPMC for treatment.

Meanwhile, a Rangers spokesperson in a statement said two alleged target killers associated with armed wing of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement London (MQM-L) were arrested from Khwaja Ajmair Nagri area. Their identifications have been ascertained as Muhammad Azeem Khan aka Azeem Mustqeem and Hussain Ahmad aka Madni.

Three Lyari Gang war accused identified as Malik Hamid Ali aka Chota Chat Pat, Ateequr Rehman and Noor Bux were nabbed from Kalri area. They were involved in extortion and other crime cases. Five more accused were nabbed from Pakistan Bazar area of metropolis. They were identified as Amir Badar Osmani, Anwar, Muhammad Alamgheer Bhatti, Nazeer Ahmad, and Shehzad. The under arrest accused were involved in target killing and other crime cases.
