National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore has arrested accused Haji Abdul Qayyum on the charges of cheating public through selling plots/lands on fabricated documents in different areas of Lahore. Peering into further details, an investigation was authorized against Abdul Qayyum and others on the allegations of corruption corrupt practices.

Allegedly, the accused Haji Abdul Qayyum in connivance with other accused persons obtained advantages through illegal and dishonest means by selling out plots of LDA to general public by using forged documents and caused a huge loss to national exchequer.

The accused Haji Abdul Qayyum also evaded the investigation proceedings despite several notices sent to him by NAB investigation team, whereas, the accused was declared as proclaimed offender (PO) in 2010. DG NAB Lahore has issued special direction for early arrest of all proclaimed offenders. NAB Lahore Intelligence Wing on an anonymous information regarding presence of said accused in Lahore, took custody of the accused Haji Abdul Qayyum.
