Chairman, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Tariq Mahmood Pasha has inaugurated the Broadening of Tax Base (BTB) Zone, RTO-II, Karachi, on the other day. According to details, the chairman has appreciated the establishment of BTB zone in a shortest possible time and applauded the efforts taken by Chief Commissioners-IR Corporate RTO, RTO-II and LTU-II in making it fully functional.

While addressing on the very occasion, the chairman FBR apprised that BTB units have been created under the special directives of Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi across the country and now all-out efforts will be taken to net the new potential taxpayers.

He also emphasised the need to facilitate the taxpayers, redress their grievances on merit in a speedy fashion and maintain the current revenue growth at 20 per cent of the revenue budget till the end of financial year 2017-18, especially in second quarter, ending on December 31, 2017. Pasha said that field formations should present better image of the organization in the society by ensuring transparency, fair play in their actions in coordination with peer public sector agencies.
