A tribal journalist from Bara Tehsil of Khyber Agency is missing since last day, his family sources informed on Monday. Umar Afridi, the brother of missing media person, Islam Gul Afridi said that he had went to Islamabad previous day for his work and then he was missing. No contact had been made with him as his cell phone numbers were found off, he added.

His brother maintained that he was suspected that his brother had been kidnapped on his way to home from Islamabad because he had never been remained untouched with his family for such long time. Islam Gul Afridi is a senior tribal journalist and he has been striving hard to address real problems of layman and he preferred to give coverage to grievances of the tribesmen.

The tribal Union of Journalists (TUJ) Khyber Agency chapter expressed heartfelt concern over the mysterious missing of their colleague and asked the government to forthwith recover the lost media person and ensure security of the journalist community.

It is important to state that for the last few days a fresh wave of atrocities against media persons once against erupted and in three separate incidents one journalist, Haroon Khan of Swabi working for Khyber News TV was shot dead by unknown armed persons.

While the next day unknown persons kidnapped Mashal Radio reporter and tribal journalist from Mohmand Agency, Shah Nawaz Tharakzai from Shabqadar, following by the missing happen of Islam Gul Afridi working for Khyber newspaper magazine, Radio Pakistan and The Tribal Post.
