Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday acknowledged the positive long-term effects being achieved through Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad. He expressed these views while chairing the 203rd Corps Commanders' Conference at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.

General Bajwa also appreciated the successful conduct of Operation Khyber-4, which is made possible through high standards of professionalism, in the "most inhospitable terrain of Rajgal" with minimal own casualties. The forum undertook a comprehensive review of internal and external security environment. The forum also deliberated upon regional security situation, especially Afghanistan, and reaffirmed its commitment to regional peace and security, added Inter-Services Public Relation (ISPR) in a statement.

The Army leadership reaffirmed its commitment to regional peace and stability. "We look forward to a trust-based mutual cooperation in this regard which can achieve the policy ends of enduring regional peace," said General Bajwa. The attendees of the conference were also briefed on the situation along the Line of Control (LoC).

The Army Chief, expressing full satisfaction over the armed forces' commitment to national defence, said efforts must continue to defeat terrorism and militancy and to ensure supremacy of the Constitution and establish the rule of law. Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad was launched in February with the objective of eliminating terrorism across the country.

The Pakistan Air Force, Pakistan Navy, civil armed forces as well as other security and law enforcement agencies continue to actively participate and support the efforts of the Pakistan Army to eliminate terrorist elements from the country.
