Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) and squash legend Jansher Khan will work jointly for betterment of squash in Punjab and training of TEVTA students as per international standards. TEVTA will also take charge of suash curts and facilitate their students.

In this regard a meeting was held at TEVTA Secretariat here on Friday in which squash legend Jansher Khan, Chairperson Irfan Qaiser Sheikh, Squash Coach Farooq Butt participated. While speaking on occasion, Jansher Khan observed that Pakistani youth has talent as equal to the youth of developed countries but they lack resources and training facilities. I will provide consultancy to TEVTA for training their students, he added. Jan Sher Khan further said that youth of Punjab will be able to get training for Squash as per international standards.

Irfan Qaiser Sheikh said that Jansher Khan is our national hero and his consultancy will be an honor for TEVTA. He said that physical training of our youth is necessary and this is the reason that TEVTA wanted to train its students in Squash. We appeal to Sports Board to provide Squash Courts to TEVTA and renovate them as per requirement, Irfan Qaiser said. He said that more than 200 students of TEVTA will get training in these courts under the supervision of Jansher Khan.

He also announced that TEVTA will bear all the expenses of the renovation and rebuilding of these courts. In this regard a roadmap will be prepared through which TEVTA and Jansher Khan will work jointly in future, Irfan added. He also told Jansher Khan that there are more than 200,000 students currently studying in around 385 institutions around Punjab. Training in these institutions will provide these students to get a chance to become champion, he said. Chairperson also presented Jansher Khan a souvenir.
