He submitted that no audit has been carried out of the accounts of the Council for the last many years adding that the Council was doing nothing for improving legal education and training of new lawyers enrolled with it. He pleaded the court to order audit of the Council's accounts, besides taking action against those involved in corruption. After hearing preliminary arguments of the petitioner, the court issued notices to SBC, AG and others and adjourned further hearing till May 17.
