On Wednesday, at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 2,930. The total traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 3.249 billion and the number of lots traded was 8,884. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 1.636 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 778.294 million, WTI crude oil PKR 444.885 million, silver PKR 290.605 million, copper PKR 95.773 million and Brent crude oil PKR 3.654 million.
