The Lahore High Court has been approached against Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra), urging it to stop all television channels from holding debate on sub-judice matters. A bar member M.H Mujahid seeking enforcement of the Pemra Ordinance 2002 through A. K Dogar and pleaded that in Pakistan every day news anchors and participants sit like judges and argued like lawyers. He stated that the right of freedom of speech was neither uncontrolled nor unbridled and prayed to direct the Pemra to enforce its law and stop all television channels from broadcasting programs on sub-judice matters.
