Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Punjab will organise a public protest outside Nasir Bagh on Thursday (today) after a refusal from the district administration to allow it to hold a protest at the Minar-e-Pakistan. Speaking at a press conference, PPP Punjab President Qamar Zaman Kaira said the PPP would not tolerate in case the district administration tried to hamper the protest in city. He said the PPP workers would exercise their democratic right in any case.

He said that the rulers were afraid of his party as they shied away from allowing PPP to hold camp on Minar-e-Pakistan. Sharifs knew that only PPP could drive them out of Punjab, he added. "If they are afraid of our protesting camps, imagine how they'd react to [PPPP chairman] Bilawal Bhutto Zardari's public meetings," he said. Kaira said that PPP will hold a protest camp on May 4 at Nasir Baagh in Lahore. "We'll put a box there and ask the public for different names for 'ShowBaz'. It was what 'ShowBaz' [Shehbaz Sharif] wanted and his wish will be fulfilled by PPP workers", he said.

The PPP leader said that even the court had now declared Sharif family as corrupt. He alleged that the Punjab government burned Metro's record, Orange Train's record and also Motorway's. "Hope they don't burn Supreme Court's record now", he said.
