World press freedom day was observed in Hyderabad. A number of demonstrations, dialogues were held on world press freedom. Hyderabad union of journalists also held a demonstration in front of Hyderabad press club joined by a number of journalists and demanded to ensure press freedom as a beautify of democracy. The demand for the protection of journalists at all level to ensure their safety and security.

A rally was held by the students and teachers from the Mass communication department of University of Sindh Jamshoro. Speakers were of the views that press is a challenge in society and vote difference media has been threatened by different elements.
