The total export cargo of 3,434 tonnes comprised of 3,274 tonnes of containerised cargo and 160 tonnes of general cargo. As many as 1,183 containers comprising of 961 containers import and 222 containers export were handled during the last 24 hours on Thursday.
The breakup of imported containers shows 429 of 20's and 217 of 40's loaded while 14 of 20's and 42 of 40's empty containers, whereas that of exported containers shows 66 of 20's and 68 of 40's loaded containers while 12 of 20's and 04 of 40's empty containers were handled during the business hours.
There was one ship namely MT Shalamar carrying oil tanker sailed out to sea during the reported period. There were six vessels viz. Batam Trader, Everrich-7, Oriental Lotus, Walleye, Han Li and Chipolbrok Star carrying containers, oil tankers and general cargo respectively currently at the berths.
There were three ships namely Batam Trader, MOL Explorer and Amoy Action carrying containers and coal sailed out to sea on Thursday, while two ships namely Everrich-7 and Walleye carrying oil tankers respectively expected to sail on Friday. There were five vessels viz. Wan Hai-501, MT Karachi, Nave Andromeda, Weser and Hong Master carrying containers, oil tanker, mogas, caustic soda and general cargo respectively due to arrive on Thursday, while four vessels viz. APL Pearl, Al Farahidi, Hyundai Oakland and Lia carrying containers and coal respectively are due to arrive on Friday.
The total import cargo of 82,462 tonnes includes 15,300 tonnes of LNG; 38,000 tonnes of diesel oil; 17,462 tonnes of canola seeds; 2,000 tonnes of LPG; 9,000 tonnes of chemical; 700 tonnes of project cargo and 21,147 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 13,433 tonnes includes 13,433 tonnes of containerised cargo.
As many as 1,820 containers comprising of 1,113 containers import and 707 containers export were handled during the last 24 hours on Thursday. There were two ships namely MT Al-Ghashamiya and MT Bahra carrying LNG and furnace oil respectively expected to sail on Thursday morning, while three ships namely CV Maersk Gibraltar, CV CMA CGM Thames and MV Ginga Ocelot carrying containers and chemical respectively are expected to sail on the same day afternoon.
A total number of ten vessels viz. CV Maersk Gibraltar, CV CMA CGM Thames, MV Mariman, MV Thorco Attraction, MV Da Fu, MV Georgia-T, MT Ginga Ocelot, MT Gemini Gas, MV Al Ghashamiya and MT Bahra currently occupied berths to load/offload containers, rice, project cargo, canola seeds, chemical, LPG, LNG and furnace oil respectively during the last 24 hours.
As many as seven ships namely CV Mehuin, CV MSC Busan, MT Black Purl, MT Distya Ameya, MT Harmony, MT Brizo and MT Alpine Magic carrying containers, LPG, furnace oil and diesel oil respectively were at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim on Thursday. There were three vessels viz. CV Mehuin, CV MSC Busan and MT Harmony carrying containers and furnace oil expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Thursday.
There were six ships namely CV Mehuin, MV Amoy Action, MT Maran Gas Delfi, MT Maria-III, MT Al-Dasma and MT Anka carrying containers, coal, LNG, LPG, diesel oil and palm oil respectively due to arrive on Thursday. There are two ships namely CV San Francisco and Hansa America carrying containers due to arrive on Friday.
