The country's import of dry fruits surged by over 26 percent to $69.179 million in July-November 2016, Pakistan Bureau of Statistics says. Dry fruits import growth comes to the tune of $14.296 million in July-November 2016 from $54.883 million in July-November 2015, the statistics show.

Import volume of dry fruits also shot up by 49.24 percent or 27,222 metric tons to 82,511 metric tons in July-November 2016 from 55,289 metric tons in July-November 2015. In November 2016, the country's import of dry fruits surged by 22.39 percent or $2.692 million to $14.713 million from $12.021 million in November 2015. Import of dry fruits mounted by 65 percent or 8881 metric tons to 22,539 metric tons in November 2016 from 13,658 metric tons in November 2015.
