Model Collectorate of Customs (Preventive) on Saturday night conducted a raid at Star City Mall located at Abdullah Haroon Road, Saddar to confiscate smuggled cell phones. According to chief collector Muhammad Zahid Khokar, this was an intelligence based action to confiscate smuggled cell phones.

He said that the department had received information that a huge quantity of smuggled cell phones was dumped in Star City Mall and the department after getting formal search warrant conducted the raid with the assistance of Sindh Rangers. He said that customs staff had so far searched the 4th, 9th and 11th floors of the centre and inspection of 2nd and 3rd floors was underway.
