Dr Baig is decorated with the award by H.E. Abdo Ali Abdul Rehman, Ambassador of Yemen in Pakistan at a ceremony to celebrate 24th National Re-Unification Day of Republic of Yemen at a local hotel in Karachi. The ceremony was also attended by Federal Minister for Textile Industry Senator Abbas Afridi, Sr. Minister for Education Sindh Nisar Khoro, Ambassador of Philippines H.E Domingo D. Lucenario, Consuls General of UK, Germany, Bahrain, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Indonesia, Hon. Consul General of Morocco Ishtiaq Baig, Hon. Consul of Poland Omair Baig, President of FPCCI Zakaria Usman and large number of Diplomats, Dignitaries, Parliamentarians, Yemeni students steadying in Pakistan.
The Ambassador of Yemen conferred the award on Dr Baig on behalf of the President and the Government of Republic of Yemen and acknowledge outstanding services of Dr Baig rendered as Hon. Consul General of Yemen in Sindh enhancing the relationship in trade, investment, culture and education.
Dr Baig thanked the President H.E. Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, Prime Minister of Yemen Mohammed Basindawa, Foreign Minister Abu-Bakr Al Qirbi and Ambassador of Yemen for their confidence on Dr Baig and recognising his services with this prestigious award which is indeed a great honour for him, his family and Pakistan.-PR
