Caretaker Prime Minister, Mir Hazar Khan Khoso, has sacked Managing Director, Utility Stores Corporation (USC), Major General Malik Muhammad Farooq (retd) on the recommendations of caretaker Minister for Industries and Production, Shahzada Ahsan Ashraf Sheikh. "We have terminated the contract of MD, USC as his appointment was in violation of rules," said an official on condition of anonymity.

Farooq, who resides in Bahria Town, was the nominee of Malik Riaz, former Chairman Bahria Town. He was brought in the USC by former Deputy Prime Minister, Ch. Pervez Elahi.

Ministry of Industries, Co-ordinator, G. M. Sikandar who is enjoying MP-1 scale with the blessings of Pervez Elahi, is expected to be the next victim of Election Commission's instructions. He was hired in July 2011 on contract which will expire in July this year.

G.M. Sikandar told this correspondent, "I am in Lahore and whenever Ministry calls me for a meeting, I go to Islamabad."

Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Engineering Development Board (EDB) who is the brother in law of Secretary Capital Administration and Development (CAD), Shahfqat Naghmi, is also expected to be terminated. The services of Managing Director, National Fertilizer Marketing Limited (NFML), who briefed the Minister on Wednesday (today) may also be sacked.

Caretaker Minister for Industries and Production, on his first day in the Ministry announced that he would review the contract of all CEOs.
