PCB Chairman is also proceeding to India on Saturday (today) to watch ODI cricket matches between Pakistan and India. During the visit, Zaka is going to hold talks with the BCCI officials with reference to Indian cricket team expected visit to Pakistan next year, sources said. Pakistan have not played an international match on home soil since 2009 when armed militants attacked Sri Lanka's team bus in Lahore. When asked about tour of Bangladesh cricket team to Pakistan, PCB chairman expressed optimism for revival of international cricket to Pakistan. "We would give warm hospitality to Bangladesh cricket team on their visit to Pakistan," he said.
He added at the same breath that we would also reciprocate on tour of Bangladesh cricket team to Pakistan. To a question about giving permission to Pakistani players for Bangladesh Cricket Board, if BPL declines to send its cricket team to Pakistan, Zaka said, "We would decide the matter after looking into our own commitments." About the ongoing cricket series between Pakistan and India, PCB Chairman said boys are playing with unity and skipper Mohammad Hafeez fulfilled his responsibility.
He said cricket fans on both sides of border are witnessing good cricket. He said the present PCB management is running affairs of cricket in a professional manner. Regarding pacer Mohammad Irfan, PCB head said that Pakistan is enriched with talent which is evident from Irfan. "PCB would continue its hunt for new talent from across the country."
Later, former skipper Aamir Sohail told media that credit of Pakistan cricket team victory in first T-20 goes to skipper Mohammad Hafeez. "His performance in this match shows that Hafeez has learnt a lot from his mistakes in World Cup," he said. To a query about Shahid Afridi, Aamir said Afridi must be taken as leg spinner instead of bowler. He said Pakistan should take advantage of slow wicket of Ahmedabad in IInd Twenty20.
Moreover, sources in PCB said that Pakistan will tour West Indies next year to play two tests, five one-day internationals and a Twenty20 match. The West Indies earlier wanted to postpone Pakistan's tour to August because of a clash with a tri-nation tournament with Sri Lanka and India. However, the PCB refused to make the change as it hopes to host India in August.
