The Lahore High Court here on Friday dismissed petitions of a famous actress Babra Sharif and others challenging operation against encroachments on M M Alam Road. The petitioners through counsel pleaded that the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) in the name of widening M M Alam Road started bulldozing their lawful properties.

Opposing the petitions, counsel of the LDA argued that the only illegal properties are being bulldozed to expand the M M Alam Road. He said the marked portions of the petitioners' properties are not the part of their houses but illegally constructed structure. The Court while dismissing the petitions allowed the LDA to continue the operation against encroachments.
