PPP led-government was striving hard for ensuring socio-economic justice and protection of people's right in the country, she said. Dr Firdous said that under the vision of Shaheed Benzair Bhutto government had focused special attention on transforming the country into a real democratic state adding that PPP was making hectic efforts for strengthening the democratic institutions and democracy because PPP was custodian of democracy.
PPP leadership had rendered great scarifies for the revival of democracy and it was Benazir Bhutto who struggled for the cause of democracy and embraced Shahadat, she said. Firdous said that first time in the history of the country that democratically elected government was completing its constitutional tenure. Some anti-democratic elements were trying to derail the process of democracy of the country such attempts would be foiled with active support of the masses, she added.
The minister said that PPP is a symbol of federation, which had its roots in provinces and Azad Kashmir and people would not allow anti-democratic to derail democracy in the country adding that PPP had always struggled for the revival democracy aimed at converting the country into a real democratic state of glob. PPP government will continue its efforts for resolving the problems confronted by the masses particularly the poor segment of the society across the country, Dr Firdous said.
