On Friday, full dress rehearsal of the convocation was held in Faisal Auditorium in which PU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mujahid Kamran, Registrar Professor Dr Khan Raas Masood, Additional Controller Examinations Ahmed Ali Chatha, all deans of faculties, principles of colleges, directors of Institutes, heads of departments, PhD scholars, M Phil scholars, Masters degree program and BS Honours degree program gold medallists etc participated.
While students of Electrical Engineering department have shown outstanding performance and won all the three positions in All Pakistan Project Exhibition (APPE) contests held at Jinnah Convention Centre Islamabad. Mohsin-e-Pakistan Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan gave away prizes to winners. A team comprising Muhammad Tayyab, Zafar Ali, Muhammad Imran and Faisal Shahzad won 1st position with cash prize worth Rs 40,000 for their project "Blimp Based Unmanned Aerial Vehicle for Surveillance".
