Two persons died after consuming toxic syrup in Gujranwala on Thursday. According to police, Bilal, a resident of Shaheenabad locality of Gujranwala, drank toxic syrup due to which his condition worsened. He was rushed to hospital for treatment but could not survive. In Muslim Town area, an addict Munir drank toxic syrup due to which his condition deteriorated. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he expired.

The police registered separate cases in both incidents and started the investigations.
