Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that the forthcoming general elections are of extra-ordinary importance, as the survival and solidarity of the country depend upon these elections. He was talking to Assembly members from various districts here on Thursday, disclosed an official. The CM said he is confident that people will bring Pakistan Muslim League-N into power through their votes.

"PML-N under the dynamic leadership of Nawaz Sharif, will transform Pakistan in accordance with the ideals of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal. Zardari and his cronies have set records of corruption and after coming into power, PML-N will recover every penny of looted money from plunderers, dacoits and thieves," he added. According to him, it is unfortunate that Pakistan has nuclear missile in one hand and a bagging bowl in the other.

Inefficient rulers have made Pakistan a bagger country and destroyed national institutions. There is neither electricity nor gas and thousands of labourers are becoming jobless daily. He said in order to provide modern transport facilities to the people and build schools, colleges and residential colonies, the daily corruption of billions of rupees will have to be brought to an end.
