Small industrial feeders will be closed for two hours in morning and two hours in evening. Electricity load shedding for independent textile units will be observed for four to five hours daily, while six to eight hours electricity will be off for agri tubewells.

Meanwhile, Rana Abdul Jabbar Khan, Chief Executive Officer Fesco said that domestic consumers are the first and foremost priority of the FESCO and among that maximum facilitation is being doled out to the industrial consumers. Talking to a delegation of the Council of Power Loom Owners Association (CPLOA) at his office, he said that industry is the mainstay of the national economy that was not only providing jobs to the millions of youth but also earning precious foreign exchange for the country.

He said that Fesco was helping the industrial sector to continue its activities and play its role in the national economy. He said that there was a visible gap between demand and supply of electricity and Fesco was taking various tangible steps to bridge this gap with proper management and by discouraging the wasteful use of electricity. Continuing, Chief Executive said that Faisalabad was second major industrial city of the country and has employed millions of workers. He said that Fesco was taking various steps to provide uninterrupted power supply to this sector and directives have also been issued to finalize the load management schedule in consultation with all stake holders. The meeting agreed in principal for 4 hours load management schedule for power loom industry.

Chief Executive assured that as soon as generation situation improved, the additional supplies would be passed on to the industrial sector. He hoped that industrial consumers would also cooperate with Fesco by discouraging wastage and abuse of electricity by conducting energy audit of their industry. He said that Fesco engineers would provide free of cost services for this audit.

Earlier, Waheed Khaliq Ramey, Chairman (CPLOA) said that millions of people are earning their bread and butter from power looms and hence unscheduled loadshedding for power looms sector should now come to an end. He thanked the Fesco administration for the formulation of load management schedule in consultation with local industrialists.
