Federal Religious Affairs Minister Syed Khursheed Shah has held the negligence of Health Department responsible for the deaths due to epidemics in various areas of Sindh. Talking to media persons on Monday, Syed Khursheed Shah said that keeping in view the prevailing situation, emergency had been declared in the places affected by the deadly outbreak of measles. He said the move had been made following the rise in the death toll due to the epidemic.

The Federal Minister said that thorough investigation would be conducted and health officials found guilty of negligence would be brought to book. It's worth mentioning here that at least 50 children lost their lives to the deadly disease in Kandhkot and other districts of the province during last two weeks.
