The Lahore High Court while attaching the result of the Gymkhana Club elections with final court verdict directed the administration to go ahead with schedule of elections. Petitioner manager of the club, Ziaur Rehman, has approached the court against the civil court order directing to hold elections. Rehman submitted that according to the rules no one can contest Gymkhana elections at fourth time but Mian Misbahur Rehman and Khawaja Imran Nazir both are contesting elections fourth time.

He said they had rejected their nomination papers, which they had challenged before the elections commission. He said the election commission also barred them from contesting the election. The civil court, however, allowed them to participate in the election. He said the order of the lower court was against the law and rules of the elections. He, therefore, prayed to the court to declare the order of the lower court as illegal.
