Pakistan's Representative to United Nations Masood Khan called on Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf here at Prime Minister House on Monday. Masood Khan informed the Prime Minister that Pakistan would assume the Presidentship of United Nations Security Council for a period of one month in January 2013.

Masood Khan informed the Prime Minister that the Mission was arranging sessions on "Comprehensive approach on counter terrorism" as well as "Role of Peace Keeping" during this month. Pakistan is one of the largest contributors of peace keeping troops to the United Nations, he added.
