Senior leader of All Parties Hurriat Conference (APHC) Abdul Ghani Bhat called on Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif here on Sunday. The Kashmir issue, matters of mutual interest and elimination of terrorism were discussed during the meeting.

The Chief Minister said that the stance of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was clear that the issue of Kashmir should be resolved according to the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. "We will continue political and moral support to the people of Kashmiri," he added.

Shahbaz said that the issues between Pakistan and India could be resolved through meaningful and practicable dialogue as war was not the solution to problems.

The Chief Minister said that he was deeply shocked over the martyrdom of ANP leader Bashir Ahmed Bilour. He said that the services of Bilour with regard to strengthening democracy and eliminating extremism would be remembered forever. Shahbaz said that he was a brave politician and always fought against terrorism. He further said that Bilour sacrificed his life but did not leave his mission. He said that the Punjab government was also observing a mourning day on his martyrdom. Speaking on the occasion, Abdul Ghani Bhat said that Bilour's martyrdom was a tragic incident.
