A large number of people staged demonstration outside Karachi press club on Sunday afternoon against closure of CNG stations. Shabab-e-Milli, a religious outfit, organised the protest attended by JI leader Muhammad Hussain Mahenti, Shabab-e-Milli leader Usman Farooq, Saifuddin, Small Traders' leader Mahmood Hamid and Hafizul Haq Hasanzai of Ricksha Taxi Association.

The leaders while addressing the crowd, condemned frequent closure of CNG stations and termed it a conspiracy of OGRA and CNG station owners. They said all this started after the Supreme Court verdict on CNG prices and due to the conspiracy, long queues of vehicles could be seen at CNG stations causing mental agony to the people. The leaders requested the Supreme Court to take notice of CNG stations' frequent closure.
